Bespoke Glass is at The Beck

We are so excited to showcase a local stained-glass studio, Bespoke Glass, at The Beck this season. Bespoke Glass is a studio-based business conceived in Scotland, founded in Brooklyn in 2011, and now based in Kingston. The studio designs & produces custom and readymade stained glass & glass objects. All glass is cut by hand, using simple tools and a mix of centuries-old techniques and modern methods. Bespoke approaches stained glass differently than most studios, striving to create well-crafted objects that are about more than the light passing through, and aims to make things you've never seen before that will fit into your life/space on your terms.

DEMI #31

Lesley is an expert at leadwork and clean lines. Her panels feel both modern and timeless, suitable as a focal window, room divider, or mounted artwork. Gorgeous color palettes containing soft gradients and bold accents are often a calling card of Lesley’s work.

COLORBLOCK Panel #28

I love the tactile nature of stained glass. This old-world technique does not allow for quick production or “machine-made art”. Numerous hand-cut glass pieces create a layered composition, allowing light to animate shifting hues and subtle textures throughout the day. Stained glass is a stationary art that can almost magically transform spaces into mystical, colorful environs.

DEMILUNE #7

Hand-cut glass pieces layer soft gradients with bold pops, so daylight plays across shifting hues and gentle textures all day long. Their size and see-through quality let natural light join the design—bringing warmth, a sense of privacy, and a custom touch to sustainable, modern interiors.
