Ana Claudia - Owner and Interior Designer
Ana Claudia has always been a little bit of everywhere. Born in Brazil, raised in Miami, and seasoned by years in Brooklyn, she's since settled into New York's Hudson Valley—and each chapter left its mark on her work. Her interiors move fluidly between modern, contemporary, and transitional, resisting easy categorization in favor of something eclectic and alive, warm without ever feeling predictable. Custom pieces and unexpected solutions are part of her vernacular and process, resulting in a home that's unmistakably its owner's. Her instinct, more than any single style, runs through her work.
Ana Claudia's path to design wasn't direct. She trained as an architect at Florida International University and spent nearly a decade practicing before finding her real passion in the more intimate, human-scaled world of interiors.
Her work has appeared in Cultured, Goop, Rue Magazine, Domino, House Beautiful, and HGTV, and she is a member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) and the AD Pro directory.
These days, when she's not with clients, you'll likely find her at The Beck, the Rhinebeck design gallery she co-owns with her husband, Aaron Smyle, or at home, keeping pace with a toddler, two dogs, and two cats.
Amy Cutaia – Chief Operation Officer
Amy has two decades of experience in entrepreneurial business management. She has built and nurtured businesses in both the retail and wholesale sectors, including a successful health food store and a British footwear brand new to the US. More than one Hudson Valley farm store has been “freshened up” and revived at her hands. Amy’s broad knowledge of business operations, logistics, budget controls and systems help with everyday administration and long-term success. She immensely enjoys assisting customers and supporting the efforts of the designers through their creative process.
Amy has two young daughters and is currently working on the design and development of her new home, alongside her husband, in southern Columbia County.
