Becca Van K is at The Beck
We’re happy to welcome Becca Van K to The Beck this season! Becca is a fun and captivating artist who knows how to mix modern vibes with a dash of quirky charm. Her art dives into themes like space, light, and texture, striking a perfect balance that appeals to both our eyes and our feelings. Inspired by everything around her, Becca’s pieces come to life with vibrant colors and subtle details that can turn them into something special. Whether you’re an art lover or a design pro, Becca's work brings a fresh take on how art can transform our living spaces.
Becca’s chairs explore the intersection between functionality and aesthetics. She believes that furniture should not only serve a purpose but also enhance the emotional and visual landscape of a space. Throughout her work, she seeks to challenge conventional notions of seating by incorporating innovative materials and techniques.
The chairs she creates are characterized by their unique forms and thoughtful craftsmanship. Each piece reflects a balance of comfort and artistic expression, showcasing her commitment to high-quality materials and sustainable practices. The designs often feature organic shapes and vibrant colors, inviting interaction while also serving as statement pieces that elevate a space.
These pieces are true mixed media, incorporating embroidery floss, needlepoint canvas, nylon paracord, and E6000 on wood!
Becca’s landscapes capture the essence of nature with remarkable precision and artistry while also being offbeat, colorful, and contemporary. I love this convergence of kitsch and folk art layered with the historic craft of needlepoint!
